King and Country is my emblematic statement about the original royalty of Australia. It explores “the potency of the symbol as a reflection of identity, affiliation and pop-culture psyche”.
King and Country includes painting, screen-printing, sculpture, neon and video work with the repeated use of pared down and reinterpreted symbols – the crown (sovereignty), the flag (identity) and the diamond (my personal clan).
