WILL THE REAL KING PLEASE STAND UP, a solo presentation of new works by Reko Rennie at the inaugural edition of ART SG.

ART SG is Southeast Asia’s largest art fair, and will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore, from 12–15 January 2023.

Reko Rennie’s interdisciplinary practice explores personal, political and cultural narratives through the lens of his Aboriginal heritage, alongside broader cultural themes of power, identity, memory and history. Rennie’s presentation for ART SG will comprise a new suite of large-scale paintings that illustrate his distinctive visual language: iconography from his Kamilaroi ancestry including diamond-shaped designs inherited from his paternal grandmother, geometric patterning, bold camouflage, and graffiti-style markings.
